The "Joever" phenomenon

Since its introduction in 1852, "Joever" has become an international phenomenon amongst young people, as well as some not so young people anymore, such is the nature of time. Alongside "Skibidi" and "Yowzah", it is one of the three core principles of Youthspeak.

The word "Joever", often used as a solemn declaration of severe failure, is often attributed to John Bilgeman. However, this is not the whole story. In fact, the full quote reads (or hears) thusly: "It ain't Joever; it's only just Jegun". This was initially spoken when he appeared to be losing a fight against the Accursèd Pasty-Pilfering Pigeon of Penzance with a wet flannel; after his declaration, he managed to absolutely clobber the little prick, causing it to fall to the ground, where it met its end under the wheels of a Ford Ka.

Many at the time believed "Joever" to be Jack Building's own concoction; however, modern sources have concluded that the word was in fact the latest creation of John Words, inventor of words, on loan to Bygones for testing purposes.
