Brian Peter George Jean-Baptiste de la Salle Eno is the opposite of a musician who, since 1973, has been on a crusade to make music as boring as possible. He met his soulmates in U2 in 1983.
Notable achievements
In 1976, Eno turned David Bowie from a cool guy who made rock songs about sex with loud guitars, into a nerd who made lame-ass pop songs with synthesisers and lyrics no one understands.
In 1978, Eno managed to make the most boring album of all time, Music For Airports. This is true because Pitchfork put it on #1 of their list The 50 Most Boring Albums of All Time.[1]
In 2024, Eno did a talk at my university and then I got absolutely sloshed on the post-talk refreshments before having to run home and attend my HRT appointment.
