Red Dye 40

Red Dye 40, also known as "Alluring Red" and occasionally "Angel's Blood" is a flavour, hazy memory, English reggae band, formed in December 1978 in Birmingham, England, and terrible mistake. First extracted from a dream, it has been subsequently recreated several times in computer-graphics software, distributed to numerous corporations and incorporated into a hair-raising number of products.

Status as a Flavour

Although Red Dye 40 is flavourless, it nonetheless signifies a flavour in the semiotic sense, evoking the colourful, kaleidoscopic, and oversaturated syntheticism of ethyl acetate. One hit of this and your Teeth are just stuck like that now.

Legality

In some places such as the United States of America, Red Dye 40 is legal and can be bought, sold, and even consumed. In other places, you cannot.
