What

Among Us was a game where you played as the Sussy Baka Impostor or the Fearful Uwu Innocent, and you respectively had to kill or avoid being killed. In a break with a long-standing tradition set by Rolox Murder Mystery 2, there was no Detective role, causing a shockwave in the gamedev world equialent to that of a poodle jumping into the Irish Sea.

How

Like most games about murder, it became infinitely popular at all points in time simultaneously, because of some physics bullshit or something. Unfortunately, due to the exact same physics bullshit, this was not sustainable for an object of linear time, limited as it was by cause and effect (unlike noted hyper-success Minecraft), thus, in around September 2023, its wibbly-wobbly, timey-wimey influence collapsed, being left to rot in the memories of those such as me who reckon with their adulthood on a daily basis.
