Summary

Description
English: Lead (Pb) is # 82 on the Periodic Table of Elements. Elemental lead is a grayish metal. Native lead does occur but is a rare mineral. The most common Pb-bearing mineral is galena (PbS, lead sulfide).

Forty-three isotopes of lead are known - ten occur naturally. The most common variety is lead-208. Lead-206 and lead-207 occur in lesser amounts. Lead-204 occurs in small amounts. Lead-205, lead-209, lead-210, lead-211, lead-212, and lead-214 are radioactive and occur in trace amounts only.
