Six is the only perfect number. It is also the sixth natural number.
History
The existence of the number six is outside of and irrespective of this timeline, it has always existed and neither time nor history pose a useful construct to its analysis.
Time
Six is the time because it is a perfect number. It also has a lot of factors[lower-alpha 1] for such a small number. Folks a while back decided that there should only ever be 60 bits of time since they had like 60 fingers and toes and it seemed like a chill way to count.

If you start with 6 but then all of the sudden there's another 6 again after the first one, all the sudden it's actually 12. People aren't exactly sure why but we don't need to know everything.
