Sink Pasta is a pasta delicacy enjoyed in wide parts of the world. It differs from regular pasta by increased flavor and probiotic bacteria content. Though its origins are unknown, its spread is strongly correlated with the invention and usage of household sinks.

Preparation
Exact recipes differ depending on the region, but most follow a similar, straight-forward approach:
- Fresh or dried pasta is boiled in a pot of saltwater
- The pot is covered with a lid
- The pasta water is drained over a sink, using the lid as a strainer
- The lid is let slip and all the pasta flows out into the sink
- Lastly, the pasta is collected back into the pot and haphazardly rinsed to get rid of excess flavoring.
Variations
In Asian cultures, a similar dish is prepared using rice, called Sink Rice.
