People use tote bags to carry things around.
Etymology
Totally (From ‘Totally Spies!’) Baggage
History
The origin of tote bags is uncertain. There are two popular theories.
From Andrea Tote
One theory is that Andrew Tate's secret sister, Andrea Tote, invented the tote bag in 2012. It is said that she was unsatisfied with how stiff baskets were, and wanted a version of compressible baskets made with soft fabric. After sketching for 3 months she came up with the tote bag.
From "Totes normal"
Another theory is that tote bags were invented by Patricia Bags in 2010. Bags designed a bag called "the epic grocery carrier" and presented her prototype on Shark Tank. When Mark Cuban asked her about the design, she repeatedly said "It is totes normal to carry the epic grocery carrier around". Mark Cuban was fascinated and invested ten billion USD into the epic grocery carrier, which he later called the tote bag.
Modern usage
With the advancement of technology, some people attempted to integrate AI with tote bags. American consultant John H. Kensington created a tote bag with a small computer that generates one AI image every time something is put inside of it. Observers have called this AI tote bag "a stupid piece of shit" and "of no use to society and should be incinerated".
