Giuseppe Domenico Scarlatti is[note 1] a badass composer.
History
No one is really sure how Scarlatti did his thing. Musicologists believe that one day he just woke up and decided to music. And thus the scarlatting began. Soon, J.S. Bach heard about his epic music. So did Händel and all the other cool music makers. Hildegard von Bingen heard about Scarlatti and she was like super dead by the time Scarlatti was alive.
Expert(s) believe Scarlatti's name is where we get the current-day musical term "scatting" due to his love of vocal jazz.
