Lichen are like moss that are hard to the touch. They feel flaky sometimes. Very pretty. Lichen are formed when a fungi and a algae (and even bacteria) become such good friends that they level up to roommates.
Lichen Locations
Look for lichen located likely along tree bark, rocks, and the preponderance of other surfaces of various textures in shady areas and forests. Lichens can live in other places too tho. You might stumble across one when you least expect it.
