Atom

Atom is a newer standard that does the same thing as RSS. It became a thing because RSS kind of sucks.

Usually when people say "RSS" they mean RSS or Atom. The distinction isn't particularly important unless you're writing an RSS reader, in which case it's really fucking annoying.
