Brie is a brieese.

Inventor

Brie was invented by Brittany "Bri" Britishwoman. Britishwoman named the cheese after her name, but she was not good at spelling, so she spelled it as "Brie".

Brie does not come from France. This common misconception is due to confusion with Sacre Bleu, a cheesemaker from Brie. In contrast, Bleu invented the blue cheese. (He was also bad at spelling.)
