Recursion is a phenomenon in which a recurring recursion recurses itself recursively. It is commonly used in programming to determine and maintain social dominance.
History
Recursion was pioneered in the early 1900s by First Name Last Name Esq., who would habitually yell his own name when startled, further startling him. A man of many talents, he was a renowned self-therapist, autobiographer and frequent pissdrinker, whose chief achievements included awarding himself an award for most awards given and received. In his later life, he gained some notoriety for making the first phonecall to himself, writing his own obituary and naming himself after his own children. He died tragically in 1938 while attempting to ingest his own foot.
His son, First Name Last Name Sr, is rumoured to have successfully performed a time travel operation sometime in the 60s, but who the hell knows.
