I forgot where I stole it from and so I'll just write it down here in case I forget how to make it.
[[File:My lunch.jpg|thumb|This is sort of what it should look like. Results may vary.]]
When you perfect it you can make it in like 45 minutes.

== Fun facts ==
This dish contains >100% the recommended daily amount of salt, which is precisely what makes it awesome.

== Should contain ==
Ok this ingredient list is kind of vibes based but I'll try to make it as clear as possible. This should feed 2 people but if you're so so so hungry like me it's more like one meal and a snack

* 1 Onion
* 1 Clove of Garlic
* 1 Zucchini
* 1 Block of Feta Cheese (like 150-200g)
* 500g of pre-cooked Gnocchi (the type you find in the refrigerated section)
* half a teaspoon of dehydrated broth (not really necessary but makes it more yum)
* 100ml of water from the shanghai river (or tap water, whatever is easier)
* A lil bit of tomato paste
* Some olive oil
* Italian herb mix (oregano, thyme, marjoram, the likes)
* Pepper
* No fucking salt man this is already salty enough

== Get chopped ==
[[File:Common raccoon near water - DPLA - 8b80da82c05af99dd903285a52394c3d.jpg|thumb|Look at them washing their paws. So cute.]]
Ok so here's what you'll need to do first:

# Wash. your. hands. I see a lot of you not doing that and that is kind of '''disgusting''', even raccoons know how to do that.
# Wash and cut the zucchini into small cubes. About 1x1x1cm, but RELAX, nobody's gonna measure your cubes!!!
# Then dice the onion and cut the garlic finely, you know the drill.
# Mix up like uhhhh idk 100ml of water with half a teaspoon of dehydrated broth. Just make some quick broth.
# Chop the feta cheese. Honestly no direction here, just chop it up finely so it doesn't take a century to melt

== Jesser, we need to cook ==
Cooking is probably the easiest part. You just need a deep pan. I guess it could work in a pot too, but use one with a thick bottom (that's what he said!1!1 Ok my apologies that hurt to write).

Generously cover the bottom of the pan/ pot with olive oil. Then, throw in the onion, garlic and zucchini. Let them cook on medium heat till the onions are translucent and the zucchini is getting soft.

I recommend to not fry the zucchini (as in, don't let it get brown) cuz that doesn't taste very good but that's just personal preference.

After that, throw in the broth to deglaze it. I know, big cooking words being thrown around here.

Mix it around a bit, throw in a healthy amount of herbs and pepper.

Then put in the feta cheese and like 2-3 squirts of tomato paste, mix it again and let the cheese melt a little bit.

And last step: Decrease the heat and throw in the pre-cooked gnocchi, mix them in and cover everything with a lid.

Then just let everything sit like that until the gnocchi become soft. (Maybe mix it once or twice so the gnocchi don't burn)

== That's it ==
Mmmmmmm yum enjoy

Mozzarella in 1690 in present-day Umm Qasr I think.

Named in part for its uncanny resemblance to a TBCED (Three Button Coordinate Entry Device, colloquially "the tibbsed" or just "the tibb") popular with 1980s computers, its origin was long believed to be the myth-laden "lost [[Jeff Bezos|Amazon]] shipment" dated to somewhere between 1200 and 1000 B.C.E. However, exactly why Mozzarella and his contemporaries chose to name it a "mouse" is not known, as "computer mouse" (sometimes "data rabbit") would even in their time period have been an established pejorative term for an introvert who shies away from conflict and confrontation.

In present day, many TBCEDs are designed intentionally resembling the Computer Mouse, albeit with significant ergonomic improvements and modern materials. For example, the buttons are no longer made from whale molars or human tailbone, the pocket dimension-hosting opal has been replaced by microelectronics, and a Linear Frustum Shifter Wheel is usually added in place of the middle button.

{{GuidePage|title=The Very Basics|theme=denim|section=🌱 Make a Website}}__TOC__
Let's do the thing. First of all, make sure you have a '''desktop computer''' or laptop (I'm just going to say "desktop" from now on to save time); you can ''technically'' follow along using a mobile phone or iPad but, for the time being, this guide won't cover how to do that. If you don't own a desktop, pretty much every public library will have some that you can use for free.

The first thing you'll need to do is create a folder on your computer, which will contain all the files for your website. If you don't have any experience working with files and folders, [[Web Guide:Sidebar/How Files & Folders work|now is a good time to learn]]!

== Setting Up Your Website ==
{{#widget:Guides/PlatformSwitcher}}

=== Windows ===
# Open File Explorer and find a place for the local version of your new site. At this stage, it doesn't matter where; your Documents folder is pretty solid.
# Right click and press "New..." -> "Folder" to create a folder to contain all the website's contents. Give it an appropriate name.
# Enter this folder, then right-click and create a new text document with "New..." -> "Text Document". Call it
index.html
. This will be your homepage. You might have to go into it and save it as an HTML file in Notepad to make sure it is actually an HTML file, because by default, Windows is evil and doesn't let you see file extensions. Make sure to delete the original text file if using this approach. If you do it via renaming, Windows will ask you if you want to change the file type, and believe me, you very much do. Text documents aren't very useful on the World Wide Web Tee Em, unless they're encased in HTML.
# Right-click (yeah i know, there's a lot of this) your new .html file, and select "Open with..." -> "Notepad", and watch as your blank HTML file appears magically before your eyes as a notepad document containing absolutely nothing. This is absolutely fine.
# If you type things into this and save them, it will save to the HTML file quite happily, though Notepad isn't exactly the best editor for this... see later for details.

=== macOS ===
# Open the Finder and pick a folder to place your new site into (it doesn't really matter where, "Documents" is a solid choice).
# Press <kbd><kbd>⌘</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>N</kbd></kbd> to create a new folder.
# Give it a name and press return.
# Now, open TextEdit.
#If it doesn't start a new document automatically, click "New Document" or press <kbd><kbd>⌘</kbd> + <kbd>N</kbd></kbd> to do that.
# HTML is a plain text format, so we need to go to Format > Make Plain Text (or press <kbd><kbd>⌘</kbd> + <kbd>Shift</kbd> + <kbd>T</kbd></kbd>) to make TextEdit treat it as such.
# Go to File > Save (or press <kbd><kbd>⌘</kbd> + <kbd>S</kbd></kbd>) to save the file. It should pop open a dialog asking you where to save the file. [[File:MacOS save screenshot.png|thumb|right|alt=A screenshot of the macOS save dialog. The "Save As" field is set to "index.html" and the "Where" field has been expanded and the "website" folder has been selected|This is roughly what you want it to look like]]
# Click Save. If it interrogates you about the .html extension, select "Use .html".
# You're ready to start editing your website!

=== Linux ===
fuuckkk... uuhhhh.. okay. uh

So there are a lot of different Linuxes and they're all slightly different in completely inscrutable ways, so it's going to be difficult to be as precise as you would with other platforms. I am going to assume that, because you're using the fucking nerd operating system for fucking nerds, you know how to create files and open a text editor on your specific flavour of Linux.

# Create a folder somewhere on your computer
#Open a text editor (such as Kwrite, Mousepad, uh, Text Editor) and create a new document
# Save the document as index.html within the folder you just created

=== Haiku ===
# Find a folder to place your new site into (your home folder will work fine).
# Create a new folder, call it whatever you want.
# Open that folder, right click and select
New
→
text file
and call it
index.html
. This will be your site's homepage.
# Right click the newly created file and select
Add-ons
→
FileType
.
# In the window that appears, type
text/html
into the "File Type" field and then close it.
# You can now right click and open your new file in a text editor like Pe (''not'' StyledEdit).

Note that WebPositive's developer tools are currently fairly lacking, so you may want to install a browser like Falkon from the HaikuDepot.

== Adding Things ==

[[File:Blank Page.png|thumb|right|alt=A screenshot of my empty index.html page opened in a web browser.|How exciting!]]

At this point, you should have a folder with a file called "index.html" inside it.<ref>By convention, the index.html file will be served up when you don't ask for a specific file. A "home page", if you will.</ref> You can double click the file in the FinderFile Exploreryour file managerthe Tracker or drag its icon onto the "new tab" button on your web browser. You should see an entirely blank page. We haven't put anything in the file yet, so that makes sense.

Let's put some stuff on our page. For the rest of the guide I'll be making my website about my two cats, but you can of course [[Web Guide/What Do I Put On My Website?|make your website about anything you want]].

Switch back to TextEditNotepadwhatever text editor you're usingPe and just start typing some stuff:

{{#widget:Guides/PlatformSwitcher}}

=== Windows ===

=== macOS ===
The "Save As" field is set to "index.html" and the "Where" field has been expanded and the "website" folder has been selected|This is roughly what you want it to look like]]
# Where it says "Save as:", type
index.html
. In the "Where:" field, navigate to the folder you created earlier (you might need to click the little down arrow to get a proper file picker).
# Click Save. If it interrogates you about the .html extension, select "Use .html".
# You're ready to start editing your website!

=== Linux ===
fuuckkk... uuhhhh.. okay.

=== Haiku ===

== Adding Things ==

Hello! This is the homepage of Basil & Onion. They are the swamp creatures that live in my house.

Press <kbd class="platform macos"><kbd>⌘</kbd> + <kbd>S</kbd></kbd><kbd class="platform linux windows"><kbd>Ctrl</kbd> + <kbd>S</kbd></kbd><kbd class="platform haiku"><kbd>Alt</kbd> + <kbd>S</kbd></kbd> to save and then reload the page in your web browser. Hopefully, what you wrote should show up on the page!

[[File:Website with Text.png|thumb|center|alt=A screenshot of two windows, the first being a TextEdit window with the above text written in it, the second a Safari window showing the same text in a serif font.|500px|That's a website!!!]]

== Next Up ==

{{#widget:Guides/PlatformSwitcher}}

=== Windows ===

=== macOS ===
The "Save As" field is set to "index.html" and the "Where" field has been expanded and the "website" folder has been selected|This is roughly what you want it to look like]]
# Where it says "Save as:", type
index.html
. In the "Where:" field, navigate to the folder you created earlier (you might need to click the little down arrow to get a proper file picker).
# Click Save. If it interrogates you about the .html extension, select "Use .html".
# You're ready to start editing your website!

=== Linux ===
fuuckkk... uuhhhh.. okay.

=== Haiku ===

== Adding Things ==

== Next Up ==

* Tired of TextEditNotepad yet? Now is a good time [[Web Guide/Text Editors|install a nicer text editor]].

* Start [[Web Guide/On HTML|adding interesting things using HTML]]

{{GuidePage|title=Text Editors|section=🍳 Cool Toolz}}__TOC__
=== Visual Studio Code ===
[[Visual Studio Code]] is Microsoft's main code editor. It's pretty good, all told. It comes with lots of nice features for web development, including autocompletion for HTML and CSS, JavaScript and TypeScript language intelligence (it'll tell you when you make a mistake, etc) and a fairly easy to use UI.

You can download it for Windows, macOS and Linux from [https://code.visualstudio.com/ their website]. Based on my sample size of two, 100% of college and university computers come with Visual Studio Code included, so if you're using one of those you might be in luck!

==== Open yer Site ====
In the menu bar, select '''File''' > '''Open Folder…''' and navigate to the folder containing your site. Your site's files will be listed on the Explorer panel on the side, click one to open it in the editor. You can create new files by clicking the little page with a plus icon that appears when you hover over the Explorer.

==== Disabling AI Features ====
As a part of Microsoft's ongoing effort to make zero percent of creative endeavours enjoyable or fulfilling, Visual Studio Code comes with many AI features. These can often be very useful and save you a fair amount of time when you have sufficient experience and know exactly what to ask for, but using them at this stage will dramatically hamper your ability to learn and make your site invariably come out a bit shit. And of course, it wouldn't be much of a personal website if it wasn't actually written by you.

Anyway, to turn them off, press <kbd>Ctrl/⌘</kbd> + <kbd>Comma</kbd>, type "Disable AI Features" in the search bar, and make sure the checkbox next to the setting is ticked.

=== Zed ===
Zed is the new thing that people like to use. It's very similar to Visual Studio Code, comes with all the same features, but tries to do everything a bit faster.

You can download it for Windows, macOS and Linux from [https://zed.dev/ their website].

==== Disabling AI Features ====

As explained above, you really don't want to be using AI this early on. To disable the AI features, press <kbd>Ctrl/⌘</kbd> + <kbd>Comma</kbd>, click "AI" on the window that appears, and make sure "Disable AI" is on.

=== Notepad++ ===
A bit retro but not so bad for HTML as I remember.

Having checked the website, wow ok, it's changed a lot since I last used it. Definitely better than Notepad though in any case. It was all Courier and really precise indent markers and such when I was introduced to it. I wonder if that version is still available... bah, anyways, if you can't get VS Code, get this.
==== Disabling AI Features ====

=== Notepad++ ===

The Bread Crunchiness Index is a thing I made up just now for measuring how crunchy different types of bread can be.
== Scale ==
The Bread Crunchiness Index lies on a scale of 1-10. It can go over that, but if something is crunchier than a 10 it isn't bread anymore.

[[Toast]] has a Bread Crunchiness Index of 9.4, making it a very crunchy type of bread.

Normal bread can have a crunchiness ranging anywhere from 3 to 7, depending on how fresh it is. Extremely stale bread might have a crunchiness of 8.

The item with the lowest Bread Crunchiness Index is wet slop, coming in just below porridge with a rating of 0.2.

In [[Sweden|facking Sviiden]] they have a bespoke crunchiness scale to accommodate Knäckebröd (lit. "cracking bread"). The name is widely believed to refer to the hairline fractures in the human jawbone caused by regular consumption of said bread. Off-the-shelf knäckebröd ranges from "aj" to "fyfan" (approx. 11-15 BCI), while artisanal, locally sourced botique knäckebröd found in Northern Sviiden commonly reaches levels of "helvete" and "amensatan." Southern Sviiden, due to widespread wussiness, can't cope with knäckebröd of any description. They're stuck eating limpa.

== What the fucking kind of Bread is this? ==
This is '''Ryvita'''. It is made of rye flour and salt. It scores very highly on the Bread Crunchiness Index, meaning it is very crunchy to eat. If you have a gluten allergy you should not eat this.

Leah: yeah

When building something on pronounmail.com, you might run into a situation where you want to run a script or what have you repeatedly at a certain time or after a certain interval. In Unixland, this is called a '''cron Job''', that is, a job that the cron(8) daemon will run when the time comes. On pronounmail, we don't actually use cron. We use systemd timers. Here's how you set those up.

== Common Courtesy ==

* Please do not abuse this capability. If you intentionally run a very intensive script every five seconds ad infinitum, we ''will'' disable it without asking and tell you very kindly to stop doing that.
* Furthermore, your script is probably going to be taking up more resources than you think it is. Please think very hard before scheduling timers that run more than once every half an hour or thereabouts.
*
nice
is a fun command that you can use to lower the priority of your script. Use it for intensive stuff that you want to run without slowing everyone else down. For example, you could do
nice -n 19 <and then the rest of your command>
to run your command with the lowest priority possible.

== Doing the Timer ==
Systemd timers are there to schedule a [[Systemd|service]] to run at a specified time. For each something.service file, you can make an accompanying something.timer file.

Here's the basic procedure. I've put the stuff you want to change in bold, you can't miss it.

* Create a file at
~/.config/systemd/user/'''<whatever>'''.service
and put some stuff in it. Something like this:

[Unit]
Description=My cool script

[Service]
ExecStart='''/home/<your username>/wherever/your/script/is.sh'''

* Now you can create a
~/.config/systemd/user/'''<whatever>'''.timer
file and put some more stuff in that.

[Unit]
Description="run my service every now and again" # a little description to identify this timer

[Timer]
# this is the bit that actually decides when your timer runs.

'''[[apple|Appl]]<nowiki/>ications''' are like [[Web Hosting|web pages]] but more complicated. If you would like to run an application please ask first :3

== What is an Application ==
[[File:Daemon.jpg|thumb|247x247px|This guy]]
Anything that need a daemon basically.

== Guidelines ==

* Keep memory use '''Down'''
* Keep CPU time '''Down'''
* Avoid running anything that would use a '''Silly''' amount of system/natural resources
* Your application may be better suited for being run as a part of [[The Pronounmail Interesting Suite of Software]].
* Please have the source code for your application available somewhere on the server under a '''Reasonable''' license (the AGPL is always a good choice)

== Systemd ==
Users can freely set up systemd units to run their daemons. Put your service files and such in
~/.config/systemd/user/
and pass
--user
when using systemctl.

=== For example: ===
$ nano ~/.config/systemd/user/my_service.service
# (inside the file)

[Unit]
Description=My cool application
After=network.target

[Service]
ExecStart=/home/leah/application/start.sh
Type=notify
Restart=on-failure

[Install]
WantedBy=default.target
RequiredBy=network.target

# (save + exit)

$ systemctl --user enable --now my_service.service
More documentation is available

== Networking ==
[https://music.apple.com/gb/album/please-please-please/153432152?i=153432312 Please please please] have your application listen over a Unix Domain Socket (where the socket is a filesystem node) instead of an Internet domain socket (where the socket is an IP address and a port number).

== Database(s) ==
We have a PosgreSQL instance that you may plug your things into. [[Disk Horse|Ping]] [[User:leah|leah]] and she'll set up a database and account for you.

You can also use SQLite or whatever

== Webserver ==
Your application needs to be reverse-proxied through the webserver in order to appear on [[pronounmail.com]].

All webserver configuration must currently pass through [[User:leah|leah]]. Please ask her nicely if you need things to be changèd.

== Alternatively ==
If you're not expecting too much traffic, it might be wise to write your thing with [[CGI]]. We also have [[PHP]], which works quite well.

The cops don't want you to know this, but you can make a static website appear dynamic by just rebuilding it every few minutes. You can use a [[Running Things Every Now and Again|systemd timer]] to do this automatically ([[please]] don't rebuild it too often or i'll [[killing|kill]] you 💔).

'''Okay''' dares to ask the big questions. What if group chat was hypertext? What if discord let you write arbitrary HTML? What if protocols were bad?

== in summary ==
The '''Okay''' standard introduces a simple and flexible way to represent group chats within HTML documents, and some methods of interacting with them.

* ''[[Okay/Spec#messages|Messages]]'' are sent to ''[[Okay/Spec#rooms|Rooms]]'', which are organised into ''[[Okay/Spec#spaces|Spaces]]''.
* Like all good protocols, all communication happens over HTTP(S) and WebSockets.
* All data in Okay is formatted according to standardised HTML patterns (much like how [https://microformats.org/wiki/about Microformats] work). We call these [[Okay/Spec#michaelformats|Michaelformats]] because I thought it would be funny.
* You can receive events as they happen by [[Okay/Spec#subscriptions|subscribing]] to them.
* Authentication uses the magic of client-side certificates. When a user adds a space, the client registers itself with the server using a fresh certificate, and then uses that to sign each subsequent request.

== the warning (Hot Chip album) ==
This standard is '''deeply unserious'''. It is also '''deeply in progress'''. Implement at your own peril.

== conventions ==
The key words “must”, “must not”, “required”, “shall”, “shall not”, “should”, “should not”, “recommended”, “may”, and “optional” in this document are to be interpreted as described in [https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/bcp14 BCP14], although we use bold colourful text instead of capitals (so it doesn’t look like we’re yelling at you. This is a relaxed and cordial protocol specification).

== controversies ==
* <s>What “server” means is kind of nebulous.</s>
* What do we do about invalid HTML?
* Should room names be unique?
* check out webauthn. maybe it's a better idea than client side certs lol

== connections ==
Connections in Okay should happen over HTTPS. Plaintext HTTP is acceptable for testing purposes.

A typical connection to a never before seen space usually goes like this:

* The user hands the client a URI to examine;
* The client issues a GET request to the URI and checks the response against the [[Okay/Spec#discovery|discovery requirements]];
* If the response meets all requirements, it generates a new key pair and [[Okay/Spec#registration|registers]] itself;
* Once everyone’s happy, the client can begin posting messages to rooms.

== processing documents ==
Much of the Okay protocol involves retrieving documents and scanning them for special markup.

=== michaelformats ===
The Okay Standard introduces a number of HTML patterns known as '''michaelformats'''. These are identical in concept to (and heavily plagiarise from) [https://microformats.org/wiki/Main_Page microformats].

=== looking for stuff ===
=== linking to stuff ===
Unless otherwise specified, michaelformats can be included inline or '''linked''' in a

or

element, using the michaelformat's name as the
rel
attribute.

As an example, each of these elements are functionally equivalent:<syntaxhighlight lang="html">

Room Directory

</syntaxhighlight>The value of the
href
attribute must be a ''valid URL potentially surrounded by spaces'', as [https://html.spec.whatwg.org/multipage/urls-and-fetching.html#valid-url-potentially-surrounded-by-spaces defined in the HTML standard].

When a client encounters a URI with a fragment, it must search for an element with a matching
id
in the linked document. If the specified element is present, the client must not scan the document for the desired markup, and instead consider the linked element to be the desired markup. If multiple instances of the same
id
exist in the document, the client must ignore all but the first instance. make this make sense

== sending stuff ==
Sometimes you need to send stuff to the server. That's fine. That's okay. You'll be okay.

=== forms ===
Forms come in various forms.

Servers must accept form responses as
application/x-www-form-urlencoded
or
application/json
.

== spaces ==
Conceptually, a '''space''' is an isolated container that stores room state and user data. They are each represented by a [[Okay/Spec#ok-space|HTML element]] which provides URIs for clients to send their requests to (for example, its [[Okay/Spec#rooms|room directory]] or [[Okay/Spec#initiation|registration page]]). The URI of the document that contains this is called the space’s '''root URI'''.

=== discovery ===
For a client to recognise a document as containing a space, it must:

* Respond with 200 OK upon a GET request;
* Have a MIME type of
text/html
;
* Respond with a valid HTML document; define valid
* Have the Access-Control-Allow-Origin header set to
*
;
* Contain valid [[Okay/Spec#the element thereof|ok-space]] markup.

If a document contains multiple spaces, the client should prompt the user to select which space it should use.

==== ok-space ====
Spaces are declared using the '''ok-space''' [[Okay/Spec#michaelformats|michaelformat]]. Upon retrieving a document, the client must scan for elements with the
ok-space
class, as well as [[Okay/Spec#linking to other spaces|links and anchors]] with the
ok-space
rel attribute. Here's an example of valid
ok-space
markup:<syntaxhighlight lang="html">

This is an Okay space

Rooms
Registration
Preferences

</syntaxhighlight>For an element to be considered valid
ok-space
markup, it must be a non-void element (ideally a

) with the
ok-space
class and contain anchor elements with valid
rel
and
href
attributes. Any invalid anchors or elements not specified in the format must be ignored by the client. The inner text of the anchor elements is not significant and mustbe ignored by clients.

A list of valid anchor
rel
attributes and their purposes is described below:

'''Key''': ◈ '''required''', ◇ '''optional''', ❖ '''can be specified multiple times'''
|The space's preferences page.
|}

==== linking to other spaces ====
A document can direct clients to another document containing a space using an

or

element with the
rel="ok-space"
attribute. The client must scan the linked document for valid
ok-space
markup, but it must not follow any further links or anchors with the
rel="ok-space"
attribute.

The URI provided may include a fragment component to specify which element the client should treat as [[Okay/Spec#ok-space|ok-space]]<nowiki/>markup (e.g.,
<nowiki>https://example.com/#my-elem</nowiki>
). If the fragment is specified and the corresponding element is present in the linked document, the client must not scan any other part of the document for
ok-space
markup.<syntaxhighlight lang="html">
==== metadata ====
Spaces can provide metadata about themselves to help users identify them.<syntaxhighlight lang="html">

</syntaxhighlight>Space metadata can be declared anywhere within the ok-space element, using the class names given below:
{| class="wikitable"
!Class Name
|A long description of what the space is about.
Clients may strip out child elements for some or all of the metadata elements, but should retain any text content from within the stripped elements.

class name bikeshedding

== initiation ==
A client must register itself with a space before it can perform most actions.

=== keys ===
When registering with a space, a client should transparently generate a key pair (what type(s)?) and store it for use in subsequent requests.

=== registration ===
The registration page allows clients to register their public key and [[Okay/Spec#profiles|profile]] with the space.

== directory ==
The '''room directory''' is represented using the
ok-rooms
[[Okay/Spec#michaelformats|michaelformat]]. It contains the list of every room in a space. This list may be [[Okay/Spec#pagination|paginated]].

A space's room directory must be present in its [[Okay/Spec#ok-space|ok-space]] element, either [[Okay/Spec#linking to stuff|linked]] using the
ok-rooms
rel value or included inline.

Each room in the space must be linked with a single

element with the
ok-room
rel value. Rooms must not be included inline in the room directory.

Here's an example of what a room directory might look like:<syntaxhighlight lang="html">

Rooms on This Server

General

Evildoing Room (evil)

</syntaxhighlight>A room directory is still just a rat in a cage.

=== sections ===
A

element denotes a '''section''', which allows severs to provide more structure to their room directory. Sections must have a heading of any level as a direct descendant and one or more room links. Anything within the section that isn't a header or room link must be ignored by the client.

== rooms ==
== messages ==
== profiles ==
== [https://www.youtube.com/shorts/IIISJgeTyPk subscriptions] ==
== settings ==
== pagination ==
Many lists can be '''paginated''' when it would be impractical to send its entire contents. This is common in message lists and room directories if you're getting a bit silly with it.

== critical reception ==
It’s okay.

[[File:Wireless Pint.svg|thumb|The logo for the Wireless Pint|240x240px]]
The '''Wireless Pint''' was the first product released by [[Apple]] Computer, after the company was formed over a cheeky pint with the lads. It was the first pint that allowed for Beer-to-Beer file sharing.

== Development ==
The Wireless Pint was created by Stever [[Apple|Jobs]] after getting absolutely sloshed at the Kings Arms in 1980. Many have reported that he was inspired to create the technology after looking at his empty pint glass and saying, out loud, his famous catchphrase: "[[Computer]]".

Jobs was renowned for making his employees work up to fourteen hours a day to make the deadline of Black Friday 1907. The Wireless Pint missed its initially planned release date, causing the team working on the device to be subsequently disbanded and [[killing|executed]]. It was finally released when it was ready.

The inner workings of the Wireless Pint are still not well understood by modern science, but many hypothesise it operates the way it does because the pint is wireless.

== Features ==
The Wireless Pint's flagship feature was being able to connect to other pints in the local area to share information, known as P2P (pint-to-pint) sharing. The Wireless Pint was also the first device to form [[World Wide Web|a global network of interconnected devices that could communicate with each other]]. This model of computer network was later reused to great success in ''Club [[bird|Penguin]]''.

== Controversies ==
The Wireless Pint sucks!!!

== Discontinuation ==
[[Apple]] later discontinued the Wireless Pint to focus on other products, such as the Infrared [[Gin]] Glass and Shortwave [[Radio 10 (Netherlands)|Radio]] Pack of [[Cigarette]]s. The Wireless Pint received a final update upon its discontinuation which made it taste really [https://www.guinness.com/en-gb yucky], rendering any remaining devices completely useless.

== Controversies ==
I looked inside and it cont[[Apple|a]]<nowiki/>ins wires.

== Controversies ==
I just looked at the logo and noticed the middle blue curve on each side looks weird.[[File:Wireless pint certification badge.svg|thumb|170x170px|Certification badge for devices and beverages compatible with the Wireless Pint.]]
== Controversies ==
These controversies suck!!!

== Controversies from the future ==
I'm so upset that I wrote this before Liquid Glass was invented.

[[File:DataGoo Logo.svg|thumb|120x120px|After the [[Horse MiniDisc]] branding fiasco, Sony decided to go back to its MiniDisc roots with its logo for DataGoo.]]
'''DataGoo''' ('''[[Death Grips|DG]]''') is a discontinued data storage product developed by [[Sony]]. Created to replace the aging [[Horse MiniDisc]] standard, DataGoo offered an increased capacity of 10 minutes of audio playback per millilitre.

== History ==
The first generation of DataGoo containers featured a sharp needle which users would insert into a plastic membrane on the receptacle. This design lead to numerous injuries and hospitalisations, including one incident where a user mistakenly injected themself with DataGoo. We have no idea what happened to that guy.

Sony later introduced a needle-free alternative, with a soft plastic container and a reengineered receptacle featuring a funnel to squeeze the DataGoo into. This version was referred to in marketing materials as the "Coward's Edition''",'' and continues to hold an unfavourable reputation among DataGoo enthusiasts for not being awesome enough.

== Adoption ==
[[File:Datagoo-Wii.jpg|alt=The Wii's Liquid Channel prompting a user to inject DataGoo|thumb|The Nintendo Wii was one of the first video game consoles to adopt the DataGoo format.]]
DataGoo immediately saw worldwide adoption, quickly usurping the [[CD|Compact Disc]], [[DVD]], MiniDisc, [[Horse MiniDisc]], writing things down on paper, and [[:File:Imagination.jpg|remembering]].

== Reception ==
Some critics thought it would be funny if they called it the Sony DataPoo. They soon met their fate.

== Safety Concerns ==
While Sony has always maintained that DataGoo is harmless when consumed, many have reported dire consequences. In one instance, a small child between the ages of four and twenty-seven consumed their copy of Wii Sports Resort, which was stored on DataGoo. While not immediately noticing any side effects, they soon reported to have gained the ability to perfectly simulate in their mind a game of boxing or perhaps flying around in a little plane. I shouldn't have to tell you why this is fucked up.

In 2089, Sony was caught dumping exorbitant amounts of DataGoo in the [[Specific]] [[Oceans|Ocean]], forming an environmental hazard, where everyone who tried to swim there immediately drowned a horrible death. For this, they faced a steep £10 fee and were forced to decrease their disposal rate by 6.5% by 2139.
